Since 2006, Modiegi has served countless students, families, and leaders from the South Bronx to Newark to East Harlem. Her tenure in education includes a wide array of roles such as Special Education Teacher, Special Education Coordinator, Dean of Culture, Assistant Principal, Principal, and most recently as Interim Chief Schools Officer, Chief People Officer, and Leadership Coach.
Nekisha is a dedicated School Operations Consultant and Professional Development Trainer with a passion for enhancing school operations. As the VP of the EASD Board of Education, she brings a wealth of experience in helping schools develop and retain their operations teams through professional development, coaching, and project management.
Beyond her professional commitments, Nekisha is an entrepreneur and a devoted mother. Her multifaceted career reflects her commitment to education and her community. Nekisha's active involvement on the board ensures that she remains at the forefront of educational leadership and governance. Her comprehensive approach empowers schools to achieve operational excellence and create supportive environments for both staff and students.
